A note to our families

Our door is open. Come sit with us.

Family members are always warmly invited to join us at school — for a whole day, for part of one, or simply for lunch.

We mean this. Umbrella Academy was built to be a community, not a building your child disappears into at 8:30 and returns from at 2:30. Come see the work on the walls. Sit in on a math rotation. Eat with us. You are not an interruption; you are part of the school.

One ask, first.

Our first two weeks are dedicated to connection. This is when we learn each child, build trust, walk through our daily procedures, and settle into a routine that will carry the whole year. That work goes best when the room is steady.

So for August 5th through August 14th, we ask families to let us have the children to ourselves. From Monday, August 17th onward, the door is open — and we would love to see you.

Three ways to join us

Pick whichever fits your life. None is better than another.

A full day

Arrive at 8:30 and stay through pick-up. See a whole rhythm, start to finish.

Part of a day

A morning, an afternoon, a single subject. Tell us the window that works.

Just lunch

Come at noon, eat with the students, head back to your day. Always welcome.

Sign up for a visit

Please give us at least 48 hours' notice so we can set a place for you — and let us know how many are coming, so we can plan the food.

Before you visit I understand that visitors sign in at the front door, stay with a staff member or their own child, and are never left unsupervised with other students. Photos are of your own child only.
